North Carolina-licensed speech language pathologists have an annual license renewal with a December 31st deadline. Thirty (30) hours of continuing education are required every three (3) years, and are due next in 2014. There is no home study limit if ASHA approved. ASHA certification can be used as proof of completion of continuing education credits.
Continuing education assures the best possible standards for the speech language pathologist profession. All licensees are required to participate in continuing education as a condition of licensing.
