The Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council is officially using CE Broker as its continuing education management system. All Texas-licensed psychologists, counselors, social workers, and marriage & family therapists (MFTs) are required to use CE Broker for tracking and reporting CE.

Starting January 1, 2026, licensees must have an account with CE Broker and begin reporting completion of continuing education hours required during the renewal period before they will be able to renew their license. While account activation is required, you will never have to pay for a CE Broker Basic Account. Licensees do have the option to subscribe to an upgraded account, which offers additional CE tracking tools.

How to activate your CE Broker account:

1. Visit https://cebroker.com/plans.
2. Choose the plan best for you.
3. Enter your license number and start tracking your continuing education.

  • Advice from Board: When registering for an account, you must select the category of license that you hold. This selection ensures you have the correct licensing board’s CE requirement associate with your account. For the Texas social work board, CE Broker lists a single category – “Licensed Social Worker” to select. This category is the same for all LBSWs, LMSWs, and LCSWs licensed with the board. Neither the board’s CE requirements nor the CE Broker platform differentiates between the levels of social work licenses.

The Texas Board has created a licensee webinar, Introduction to CE Broker, that explains the changes involved.

Professional Development Resources, Inc. (PDR) is a registered provider with CE Broker (#50-1635) and has been since 2004. All completions are reported within 24 hours. PDR began reporting to CE Broker for Texas licensees in August of 2025.
