Marriage and family therapists licensed in the state of North Carolina have an annual license renewal with a June 30th deadline. Twenty (20) hours of continuing education are required for license renewal. There are no limits on home study, and three (3) hours of ethics are required at each renewal. Continuing education hours are accepted if the title and content clearly relates to marriage and family therapist counseling.
Professional Development Resources is approved as a provider of continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB Provider #1046, ACE Program); by the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC Provider #5590); by the American Psychological Association (APA).
