Georgia Occupational Therapists Continuing Education and License Renewals

Twenty-four (24) continuing education hours are required for license renewal. Of the 24 hours, 14 hours must be in direct patient care, and 8 hours are allowed from home study if AOTA approved. Two hours of ethics in occupational therapy are required at each renewal.

Continuing Education Requirements

Occupational therapists licensed in the state of Georgia have a license renewal every two years with a deadline of March 31st, even years.
