Wisconsin-licensed speech language pathologists have a biennial license renewal with a January 31st deadline, odd years. Twenty (20) hours of continuing education are required in order to renew a license. All twenty hours are allowed from home study, and two hours of ethics are required at each renewal. The board accepts ASHA approval of continuing education.
The main goal of continuing education is to assure the best possible standards for the speech language pathology profession. All licensees are required to obtain continuing education hours that will increase existing competence and knowledge gained from prior educational experiences.
Professional Development Resources is approved by the Continuing Education Board of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) to provide continuing education activities in speech-language pathology and audiology.
