West Virginia Occupational Therapists Continuing Education Requirements and License Renewal

West Virginia licensed Occupational Therapists have an annual license renewal with a December 31st deadline. In order to renew a license, twelve (12) board approved continuing education hours are required. All twelve (12) hours of continuing education are allowed from online courses (home study). The board accepts AOTA approval of continuing education courses.

The main focus of continuing education is to ensure the highest standards for the occupational therapy profession. All licensees are required to participate in continuing educational activities that will build upon existing competence and knowledge gained from prior educational experiences.

Professional Development Resources is an American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA)approved provider of continuing education (#3159). The assignment of AOTA CEUs does not imply endorsement of specific course content, products, or clinical procedures by AOTA.

Continuing Education Requirements
