Montana-licensed speech language pathologists have a biennial license renewal with a February 1st deadline, odd years. Forty (40) hours of continuing education is required to renew a license. All forty hours of continuing education are allowed from home study. Continuing education must be relevant to practice. The board accepts ASHA approval of continuing education.
The main priority of continuing education is to ensure the highest possible standards for the speech language pathology profession. All licensees are required to participate in continuing education activities that will build upon existing knowledge gained from previous educational experiences.
Professional Development Resources is approved by the Continuing Education Board of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) to provide continuing education activities in speech-language pathology and audiology.
Continuing Education Requirements
