Missouri-licensed Speech Language Pathologists have a biennial license renewal of January 31st, odd years. Continuing education is due every two years with a December 31st deadline, even years. Thirty (30) board approved continuing education hours are required in order to renew a license. All thirty hours are allowed from home study (online courses) if ASHA approved. The board accepts ASHA approval of continuing education.
The main objective of continuing education is to ensure the highest standards for the speech language pathology profession. All licensees are required to participate in continuing educational activities that will build upon existing competence and skill gained from previous educational experiences.
Professional Development Resources is approved by the Continuing Education Board of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) to provide continuing education activities in speech-language pathology and audiology. CEUs are awarded by the ASHA CE Registry upon receipt of the CEU Participant Form from the ASHA Approved CE Provider.
