Mississippi Dietitians Continuing Education and License Renewals

Thirty (30) hours of continuing education are required to renew a license. All of the thirty hours can be earned through home study. The board accepts CDR approval of continuing education hours.

The main reason for continuing education is to ensure the best possible standards for the dietitian. All licensees are required to participate in continuing education as a condition of license renewal.

Continuing Education Requirements

Mississippi-licensed dietitians are required as a condition of license renewal to complete thirty (30) hours of continuing education units every two years with a March 31st deadline, odd years. All of the thirty hours are allowed from home study courses.
