Kansas-licensed occupational therapists have a biennial license renewal with a March 31st deadline, odd years. Forty (40) hours of continuing education are required in order to renew a license. Of the forty hours, twenty (20) hours are allowed from home study courses. The board accepts AOTA approval of continuing education hours.
The main goal of continuing education is to assure the best possible standards for the occupational therapy profession. All licensees are required to participate in continuing education as a condition of licensure.
