Indiana-licensed Occupational Therapists (OTs) have a biennial license renewal with a December 31st deadline, even years. Eighteen (18) board approved continuing education hours are required in order to renew a license. All of the eighteen hours are allowed from home study. In addition, nine (9) hours must come from Category 1 (formal) courses. The board accepts AOTA approval of continuing education credits.
The main objective of continuing education is to ensure the highest standards for the occupational therapist profession. All licensees are required to participate in continuing educational activities that will build upon existing competence and skill gained from previous educational experiences.
Professional Development Resources is an American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA)approved provider of continuing education (#3159). The assignment of AOTA CEUs does not imply endorsement of specific course content, products, or clinical procedures by AOTA.
