Effective May 3, 2010, Professional Development Resources became an approved provider of continuing education courses for social workers by the Texas State Board of Social Workers Examiners (provider #5678).

Texas-licensed social workers are required to earn 30 hours of continuing education every 2 years for their license renewal. Twenty (20) of those hours are allowed from board-approved online and home study coursework. Six (6) hours are required to be on professional ethics and social work values.

Professional Development Resources (www.pdresources.org) provides online and mail order home study courses for social workers to meet their relicensure needs. Professional Development Resources is also approved as a provider of continuing education for social workers by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB Provider #1046, ACE Program); by the Florida Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, and Mental Health Counseling (Provider #BAP346); by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (Approval #PCE1625); by the Illinois DPR as a Registered Social Work CE sponsor (Provider #159-000531); and by the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker and Marriage & Family Therapist Board (Provider #RCST100501).
