New Jersey-licensed marriage and family therapists have a biennial license renewal with a June 30th deadline, even years. Forty (40) continuing education hours are required for license renewal. Twenty (20) hours are allowed from home study, and twenty (20) hours must be face to face. Five (5) hours of ethics, and three (3) hours of social/cultural competence are required at each renewal. National accreditation accepted: NBCC, APA, NAADAC.
