Nevada Speech Language Pathologists Continuing Education and Renewal of License Information

Nevada-licensed SLPs have an annual license renewal with a December 31st deadline. In order to renew a license, fifteen (15) board approved continuing education hours are required. Fifteen (15) hours of continuing education are allowed from home study (online courses). The board accepts ASHA approval of continuing education courses.

The top objective of continuing education courses is to ensure the highest possible standards for the speech language pathologist profession. All licensees are required to participate in continuing educational activities that will build upon existing knowledge and skill gained from previous educational experiences.

Continuing Educational Requirements

Nevada speech language pathologists are required as a condition of license renewal to complete a minimum of fifteen (15) hours of continuing educational activities annually.
