Iowa-licensed speech language pathologists have a biennial license renewal with a December 31st deadline, odd years. Thirty (30) hours of continuing education are required in order to renew a license. Of the thirty hours, sixteen (16) hours are allowed from home study (independent study). There are no pre-approvals, licensees are responsible for selecting appropriate courses. Courses must be maintained for audit.
