Arizona-licensed psychologists have a biennial license renewal with an April 30th deadline, odd years. Sixty (60) hours of continuing education are required in order to renew a license every two years. All sixty hours are allowed from home study as these courses are considered Category 1, and there must be a certificate. Of the sixty hours, four (4) hours of professional ethics and four (4) hours of domestic violence or children abuse are required for renewal. The board accepts APA approval of continuing education hours.
The purpose of continuing education is to ensure the highest possible standards for the psychologist profession. All licensees are required to participate in continuing education as a condition of license renewal.
Professional Development Resources is approved by the American Psychological Association (APA) to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. Professional Development Resources maintains responsibility for all programs and content. Professional Development Resources is also approved by the Florida Board of Psychology and Office of School Psychology (CE Broker Provider #50-1635).
