Alabama psychologists have an annual license renewal deadline of October 15th. Renewals must be completed on or before October 15th or the license will lapse.
Continuing Education (CE) Requirements:
- CE Required: 20 hours per year
- CE Deadline: September 30th (credit is accrued on an annual basis October 1 – September 30)
- Online CE Allowed: No limit if sponsored by APA
- License Expiration: 10/15, annually
A maximum of 6 hours accrued during a given year may be credited (carried over) to the subsequent year and must be submitted by the annual renewal date of October 15th. Hours cannot be carried over for more than one year.
License renewal consists of payment of the annual renewal fee, payment of the annual continuing education fee, and demonstration of fulfillment of the annual continuing education requirement. As a courtesy, a renewal notice will be mailed to the licensee’s address of record on August 15th of each year with payment due by October 15th.
